19 months in Ho Chi Minh City – Lifestyle and affordability

So a year and a half later, I've decided to post an update on my life here in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. At this point it's the country I've lived in the longest! I am genuinely surprised at this fact, and I'm even more surprised that I've just signed on to complete another year at my job. When I first arrived I did not expect to live here longer than six months, but here I am! I can explain the reasons behind this decision in another post as it’s more personal, but this one will mostly be about my lifestyle and the cost of living.

Greetings from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam! It's hot, it's humid, it's the rainy season, and it's busy! It's been a big change from the lifestyle I had in Sydney, but I've adjusted quickly! My time spent living in Thailand... Continue Reading →

Ok, so finally a happy post! I feel like my last two were written during some rough times, but hey, that's life. Luckily, my time in Prague turned around quite incredibly and I ended up having the time of my... Continue Reading →

Thailand withdrawals and bitter realizations.

So it's been almost two weeks since I left Thailand. Now that I'm gone, OF COURSE my brain starts racing with thoughts of sadness and loss. (The grass is always greener...) I feel like my time there was too short.... Continue Reading →

Goodbye, Thailand. Time to reflect.

My travels in Thailand have come to an end. As I look back on the photos I took from the 3 months I spent there, I am pleasantly reminded of all the interesting experiences I had. Now it's time for... Continue Reading →

How I was able to start my traveling journey.

I'm not particularly special. I'm not wealthy. I don't have a bunch of awesome connections or hook ups (aside from ones I've made along the way). And nothing has really been handed to me. Things have just happened in such... Continue Reading →
