2016 – Life in Seoul

It’s March! And I’ve been living in Seoul for 6 months now! Plenty has happened to keep me occupied, and my outdated laptop was a huge reason for not posting all that has been going on. But I finally gave up on my Macbook from 2008 and bought a new Acer Chromebook for under $200. I love it so much already and it’s gotten me excited about blogging again, so let’s begin with some insight into my life in Korea so far, starting with the most time consuming thing: my job. My rough budget for living in Prague, Czech Republic.

***Very late post, but I like to have these for reference in the future! Continue reading “My rough budget for living in Prague, Czech Republic.”

A work in progress.

I’ve been pretty absent from blogging these past few months. Mostly due to lack of motivation. I’ve been overwhelmed with the amount of bloggers, both senior and nascent, involved in the travel blog niche. I realize that my blog is in no way up to the same standards as other travel bloggers so I lost motivation when I questioned my motives for this blog. Continue reading “A work in progress.”

Finding peace in Prague.. with alcohol!

Ok, so finally a happy post! I feel like my last two were written during some rough times, but hey, that’s life. Luckily, my time in Prague turned around quite incredibly and I ended up having the time of my life. Once I reminded myself that I was in control of my happiness, I started to relax and I really worked on myself mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Plainly put, I needed a chill pill. Thailand withdrawals and bitter realizations.

So it’s been almost two weeks since I left Thailand. Now that I’m gone, OF COURSE my brain starts racing with thoughts of sadness and loss. (The grass is always greener…) I feel like my time there was too short. Continue reading “Thailand withdrawals and bitter realizations.”

Goodbye, Thailand. Time to reflect.

My travels in Thailand have come to an end. As I look back on the photos I took from the 3 months I spent there, I am pleasantly reminded of all the interesting experiences I had. Now it’s time for reflection. So how has the trip changed me? Continue reading “Goodbye, Thailand. Time to reflect.”

How I was able to start my traveling journey.

I’m not particularly special. I’m not wealthy. I don’t have a bunch of awesome connections or hook ups (aside from ones I’ve made along the way). And nothing has really been handed to me. Things have just happened in such a way that allowed me to be where I am today. Let me explain. Continue reading “How I was able to start my traveling journey.”

Adjusting to a new life in Thailand.

So, I’ve been traveling and living in Thailand now for about 2 months. In a short time I was able to accomplish visiting many places so I’m pretty pumped about that! Continue reading “Adjusting to a new life in Thailand.”

A year in Prague: The good and the bad.

I had the pleasure of living in Prague for one full year from July 2013 to July 2014. Originally I had planned to stay only for one month while earning my TEFL certification, but I quickly fell in love with this historic city and decided to stay longer. My only regret was not properly handling my visa/work permit situation, which eventually forced me to leave my job and Europe. Despite the unwanted ending, I loved my time in Prague and so I’ve created this list to share the things I enjoyed and disliked about living in Prague. Continue reading “A year in Prague: The good and the bad.”

My final days in Prague

I’ve been quite the busy bee this month despite losing my job (story to be told on a later post about my visa issues in Prague). It sucks.. but it’s been a blessing in disguise since I’ve had time to organize my trip to S.E. Asia, sell things that will only add bulk to my travels, and it’s also given me time to enjoy my last days in Prague in a calm manner. Continue reading “My final days in Prague”
